Terms of Service

Welcome to DevCrate ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our websites, tools, applications, and services, including products such as MockNow and other DevCrate services.

By accessing or using DevCrate, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Sensitive Data Restrictions

DevCrate tools such as MockNow are intended for development, testing, prototyping, and non-production workflows.

You agree not to upload, store, transmit, or process sensitive real-world data through the service unless explicitly supported and secured for that purpose.

Examples include:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Credit card or banking data
  • Passwords or secrets
  • Health records
  • Government IDs
  • Personal addresses
  • Private customer records
  • Confidential business data
  • Highly sensitive personal information

Use test data, mock data, anonymized data, or fictional data whenever possible.

You are solely responsible for the data you submit to the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction, to use DevCrate.

By using the service, you represent that you are legally permitted to do so.

2. Your Account

You may create an account using supported authentication providers such as:

  • Google
  • GitHub
  • Other providers added in the future

You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and for activities under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DevCrate for unlawful, abusive, harmful, or disruptive purposes.

Examples of prohibited behavior include:

  • Violating laws or regulations
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Hosting malware, phishing, or scams
  • Attempting unauthorized access
  • Circumventing limits or protections
  • Excessive automated abuse
  • Reverse engineering protected systems
  • Harassing or harming others
  • Using the service to attack third-party systems
  • Uploading malicious code

We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in abuse.

4. Intended Use of Mock / Testing Tools

Some DevCrate tools, such as MockNow, are designed for:

  • Development
  • Testing
  • Prototyping
  • Internal demos
  • Learning
  • Temporary workflows

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these tools are not guaranteed for mission-critical or production workloads.

You are responsible for evaluating suitability for your own use case.

5. Fair Use / Usage Limits

Free and paid plans may include usage limits such as:

  • Request limits
  • Storage limits
  • Team limits
  • Feature restrictions
  • Rate limits

We may modify limits or pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Payments, Billing & Refunds

Paid services may be processed through third-party providers such as Lemon Squeezy.

Unless otherwise required by law:

  • Fees are billed as presented at purchase
  • Subscription renewals may recur until canceled
  • Refunds are handled case-by-case
  • Abuse or policy violations may void refunds

7. Ownership & Intellectual Property

DevCrate and its software, branding, designs, code, and materials remain the property of DevCrate or its licensors.

You retain ownership of content you create and upload, subject to rights needed for us to operate the service.

8. Restrictions on Resale

Unless expressly authorized in writing, you may not:

  • Resell access to DevCrate
  • White-label the service as your own
  • Redistribute paid features
  • Mirror or clone the service commercially

API or enterprise licensing may be offered separately in the future.

9. Availability of Service

DevCrate is provided on an as available and as is basis.

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous uptime
  • Error-free operation
  • Permanent feature availability
  • Compatibility with all systems

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

10. Data & Backups

Users are responsible for maintaining backups of important content or configurations.

We are not responsible for lost data, deleted content, outages, or accidental disruptions.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • Abuse is detected
  • Fraud or risk is identified
  • Required by law
  • Continued access harms service stability

You may stop using the service at any time.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DevCrate is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevCrate shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

  • Lost profits
  • Lost data
  • Business interruption
  • Security incidents
  • Third-party failures
  • Service downtime

Our total liability for paid services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to DevCrate in the prior 3 months.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws in the jurisdiction where DevCrate operates, unless otherwise required by law.
